Service Description
At St. Mary’s Homeschool Co-op, our early childhood program offers nature-based learning designed for ages 1–4 meeting twice weekly. Young children explore the outdoors through gentle, play-based sessions filled with sensory activities, music, movement, and early literacy experiences. Weekly themes bring learning to life with hands-on crafts, storytelling, and nature walks. Little ones enjoy time on the farm, safe water play, and exploring the changing seasons—all in a nurturing, mixed-age environment that encourages social development and curiosity. Parents are welcomed into a supportive community with shared events and resources.

Details and deadlines will be provided prior to each outing. Parental Involvement & Responsibility St. Mary’s Homeschool Co-op is a collaborative educational experience. Parents or guardians are required to be actively involved and present during sessions to ensure the safety and well-being of their children. This partnership is essential to providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for all participants. Role of the Co-op St. Mary’s Homeschool Co-op is not a private school. We are an educational community led by highly qualified educators with backgrounds in education, early childhood development, science, zoology, and more. We provide structured learning opportunities, nature-based experiences, and academic enrichment designed to support homeschool families. Our goal is to assist families in meeting Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) homeschool requirements by offering engaging instruction, documentation tools, and access to valuable educational resources. Behavior Expectations To maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all children, respectful behavior is expected at all times. Physical violence, threats, or intentionally harmful actions will result in immediate suspension and a parent conference. St. Mary’s Homeschool Co-op follows a “Three Strikes” policy for behavior concerns: three documented behavioral incidents may result in removal from the program without refund. We strive to work with families in a restorative and supportive way, but safety and respect are non-negotiable. Swag Bag & Co-op Gear Each registered child will receive a St. Mary’s Homeschool Co-op swag bag on the first day of co-op. This welcome bag includes co-op gear such as a t-shirt, folder, and other essentials to kick off the year in style.
